Spirt Day - KU vs. Louisiana Tech - 29-0

Katie participated in KU Spirit Day this Sat. It was something she'd been looking forward for a long time and she had fun - most of time. It started raining right about kick off and turned cold. After the rain died down and she traded her rain poncho for a sweatshirt she was good again.

The girls were so excited to see the Jayhawk they stampeded him and actually pushed him over.

Granny bought Katie her first Jayhawk earrings. They look so cute!

Lordy, Lordy...

Yep, Troy's 40! We took him out to his restaurant of choice - Applebee's. He got free dessert and got to stand on a chair while we all sang to him.

Balloon Fun

After having so much fun with the balloon animals at the game we thought we'd have some fun or our own. We had a ton of balloons left over from Katie's Carnival party last year and put them to good use. We made puppies, swords, flowers, snakes and many others. Katie seems to have a real knack for balloon artistry - she made the puppy without any instructions or help while I was struggling with instructions I found on the internet.
