Katie and Matthew were very excited to ride horse with their new friends Autumn and Avery today. Katie talked about it all night and decided to start a journal about horseback riding complete with illustrations.

Paul celebrated his 9th birthday with his friends at our house. He had a guitar hero party and played songs all night long. Really they only played one song over and over. Their band was the Devil Dogs and they played Eye of the Tiger.

The competition was stiff but Paul was lucky enough to win his pack Pinewood Derby. He wasn't feeling too well and ended staying home sick the next few days.

Katie had fun at her first cheer competition. It was definitely a "girl's day" with lots of Hannah Montana music and screaming tweens.

As part of the bball clinic the kids attended on New Years Day we received tickets to the women's game tonight. We enjoyed watching and cheering for the players we recently met. We had awesome seats, got to see Baby Jay and were awed by the halftime show.

All three kids attended Bonnie Henrickson's KU Basketball Camp on New Year's Day. Paul was hesitant about attending and was really nervous beforehand. He did fine and seemed to enjoy himself the most. It helped one of his buddies from school was there. I was afraid they'd goof off together but they did really well. Katie LOVED the basketball players, she ran to be first in line each time and was always the first to sit next to a player when getting the chance. She was pictured on the front of the LJ World sports section chatting it up with a player.
