Underwater Pics
Over the last several years I've been through a couple of cameras. One broke after falling in the pool at the Great Wolf Lodge and my last camera died when the strap broke and it smashed on the sidewalk. I had hoped to get a new camera that took excellent movies but also excellent stills. Surprisingly that is still a tall order. The cheapest with those requirements were in the $700-900 range. After accepting that was way out of budget I spotted this new camera that was both waterproof and shockproof. That seems perfect for our active sometimes dangerous life. I'm still getting the hang of it and the verdict is still out on picture quality. I've lost a few good opportunities at great shots because the auto focus was too slow. Not sure if this is operator error or a shortcoming of the camera.
Even though it's waterproof putting it underwater that first time was very nerve racking. Here's some pics and video from our trip to the Lawrence Aquatic Center over Christmas Break.

That has got to be the freakiest picture of Matthew the world has ever seen! It SCARED Mia before she laughed! Awesome!
