Labor, delivery and birth were very different from Paul's. Jenny started feeling labor pains off and on during the afternoon. They were mild and irregular until about 7:00 p.m. We didn't want to get to the hospital too early like we did with Paul so we weren't in any hurry.
We arrived at the hospital at 8:25. After getting checked in and settled in to our room, we were surprised to find Jenny was already dilated to eight centimeters. Every available nurse was called in to get the room ready for a delivery. The nurses were bustling around establishing what had been done and who had been called. Jenny verified that the anesthesiologist had been called and was on his way.

A few minutes later Jenny's water broke and Katie began to make an appearance. The resident was called up from the ER and the anesthesiologist was called and told he could turn around and go home. Jenny's doctor arrived a couple minutes after the resident and after a few pushes, Katie was born au natural. She was healthy and responsive right from the beginning.

Mom and Katie are doing great. Even though the labor was painful and drugless, since it was so short it made for a speedy recovery. Paul and Troy are doing well too. Paul is very curious and hasn't been too jealous yet.		 Paul and Katie
